Overview

Varanasi works best with two anchors in the day: a sunrise boat ride along the ghats and the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh in the evening. The lanes near the Vishwanath corridor are walked, not driven, so we park at the nearest permitted point and time the darshan around security checks. Sarnath is a short, calm add-on in the afternoon.
